What's the correct way to wear a seat belt?

There's only one way to wear your seatbelt without getting a ticket. Officer Marcus Trujillo shows the right way to buckle up.

"What are the rules regarding your seatbelt and the proper way to use a seatbelt? The seatbelt is supposed to be worn as it was intended by the manufacturer. Grab your seatbelt, make sure the strap goes across your chest and your waist. Secure it. Fasten it. You're done. Give it a little tug so you're nice and in place and not sliding around in your seat and you're done. This is the proper way to wear your seatbelt. This (tucking seatbelt under arm) is not the proper way to wear your seatbelt. Neither is this (seatbelt behind the back) where you only have the lap belt protecting you. These are not the way the manufacturer intended these devices to work. So remember just keep it across your chest and across your waist and you should be good but not like this"
