Crime Stoppers tips lead to arrest of 2 San Antonio robbery suspects
SAPD: Cynthia Felan, Beatrice Flores could not open register, stole Texas Lottery tickets
Cynthia Felan, 47, and Beatrice Flores, 37, are facing criminal charges in connection with a somewhat bumbling robbery at a northwest San Antonio convenience store.
According to an arrest warrant affidavit, the suspects in the April 3 robbery ran off with only a handful of Texas Lottery “scratcher” tickets after not being able to open the store’s cash register.
The affidavit stated that one woman acted as a lookout while the other used a reciprocating saw blade to rob the clerk at Citgo Mehat Food Mart in the 5200 block of Fredericksburg Road.
San Antonio police later released images from the surveillance camera to local media outlets.
They said the Crime Stoppers report, which aired April 22, generated several leads, including information from three different people who identified Felan and Flores as the women in the pictures.
Both suspects were arrested on a charge of aggravated robbery.
