Weeks after three City of San Antonio employees were disciplined following an internal investigation found that they violated the ethics code, those workers will be investigated to determine if there was any criminal wrongdoing.
The City’s Ethics Review Board advised City Manager Sheryl Sculley to ask for the review, which is reportedly in the preliminary stages at the Bexar County District Attorney’s office.
The City found Alamodome suites for the Monster Truck Jam were used by City staff, friends and family for free when they could have been sold.
Free suites were also given to vendors and to a manager at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in exchange for free or discounted hotel rooms.
Marc Solis, the general manager of the Alamodome at the time, was suspended and later resigned.
Jim Mery received a three day suspension. Another employee received a letter of reprimand.
