CHANNELVIEW, Texas -

Harris County Sheriff investigators say at least five people have been shot east of Houston in Channelview, Texas.

Officials say the victims were all inside a pickup truck when someone opened fire and sprayed the truck with several bullets.

Investigators tell KPRC-TV Houston that four people were transported to an area hospital, while one was taken by Life Flight to Memorial Hermann Hospital.

Sheriff's deputies say they were originally called out for a weapons disturbance and found the bullet-riddled truck. There have been no reports of fatalities.

The names and ages of the victims have not been released, but officials said a majority are teens.

The investigation is ongoing and deputies have not said if there was more than one shooter involved.

The incident may have been a revenge shooting for an incident earlier in the day where a woman was badly beaten.
