General Position Description:
Lead station's public engagement and social broadcasting strategy across all departments, all brands, all platforms (everyone, every way, every day)
Responsibilities:
Manage existing social media profiles/channels on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google+, and help drive new social media efforts on YouTube channel.
Keep up to date on emerging social media platforms to determine which fit into our strategy for community engagement.
Work with KSAT.com and KSAT 12 TV managers and staff to implement SEO best practices for maximizing online reach and "findability"
Create buzz across social media platforms that will drive followers/viewers to KSAT 12 TV, to KSAT.com & ME-TV
Plan and implement social media campaigns across all platforms - TV, web, social media sites - and utilizing a variety of newsroom & station staff to lend different voices to our community outreach
Assist reporter/photographer crews & producers to crowd source for stories & content through various platforms
Contribute ideas and stories to the daily news effort.
Work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications:
Social Media Marketing and/or Commercial TV News Producer experience (3-5 years)
Outstanding writing and storytelling skills that utilize contemporary television production techniques.
Bachelors Degree required.
