Gunfire from drive-by shooters sent a north side man to the hospital Friday night.

That shooting happened around 9:45 p.m. Friday in the 4600 block of Howard.

Police say they got a call from a woman who said gunfire into the house wounded her husband.

Investigators say that gunfire hit the man in the side.

EMS transported the victim to University Hospital, and a police sergeant on the scene said his condition at the time was critical.

The sergeant said the man had a pacemaker, and was in surgery for the gunshot wound.

Police say they are looking for a grey four-door car in connection with the shooting.
