A total of seven bricks of marijuana were discovered inside an Enterprise rental car Thursday morning.

The Nissan dealership on Northeast Loop 410 initially found the drugs stashed inside a gas tank while servicing the vehicle.

“That’s something I never thought about. It's just something that’s kind of unnerving," said Enterprise customer Eddie Gonzalez.

Gonzalez said he would expect to take safety measures to protect their customers.

“You (would) think they would go through (it) and it would be clean," he said.

A copy of the police report shows several individuals from McAllen, Texas, had driven the vehicle last.

“(I'm) not surprised," said Jason Oakes, a rental car customer. "I-35 is a big drug trafficking highway. I would not be shocked and I doubt if it’s the first time its ever happened.”

According to police, July 2012 was the last time the vehicle crossed over into Mexico.

Enterprise refused to comment on the story.
