SAN ANTONIO -

A suspected drunken driver missed a turn at Broadway and 12th Street and instead made a right turn into an office furniture store early Wednesday, San Antonio police said.

The 23-year-old driver who police said drove into Office Source Ltd. was arrested at the scene on suspicion of DWI.

Three people in their early 20s who were inside the car suffered minor cuts and scrapes.

"It's pretty frightening, actually, because we sit here during the day. Somebody's reckless driving could have hurt somebody," said Kay Harig, who owns Office Source Ltd. "We had glass all the way to the back of our showroom on both sides. I'm sure we'll find it for the next month."

Officers quickly responded to the scene because they were already working a drunken driving-related arrest a block away at Broadway and Jones.

In that case, a man fell asleep behind the wheel while waiting at the light, police said.

Officers had been there for half an hour when they heard the crash at Broadway and 12th Street.
