SAN ANTONIO -

A driver was injured and another was arrested following a two-car crash on the far West Side late Thursday night, San Antonio police said.

According to officers, a man driving a gray car was traveling south on Alamo Ranch Parkway near Loop 1604 when he ran a red light and broadsided a compact car.

The impact of the crash pushed the compact car into the northbound lanes of the highway.

The driver of the compact car, a man in his 40s, was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver at fault was arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
