A fire forced a 92-year-old woman out of her northeast Bexar County home early Tuesday morning.

The fire broke out around 1:30 a.m. in the 7200 block of Hidden Hills North near Kirby.

The call originally came in as a smoke alarm, but turned into a fire. Volunteer fire crews from Kirby, Camelot, Windcrest and Gardendale all responded to the home and put out the fire quickly.

The 92-year-old woman was treated by paramedics at the scene, but was not taken to the hospital. Arson investigators are looking into a cause and damage estimates were unknown Tuesday morning.
