Police are searching for a driver who they say crashed into a family's northwest side home and then ran.
The crash happened around 3:15 a.m. Saturday in the 8100 block of Bowens Crossing.
According to police, the driver lost control, drove through a fence and into the backyard before crashing into the side of the house.
The driver then backed up drove from the scene.
Firefighters had to evacuate the family over concerns about a possible ruptured gas line, but after they checked the house the family was allowed back into their home.
Police are now looking for the driver and a white Ford SUV with heavy front-end damage.
