SAN ANTONIO – Less than 48 hours after the shooting death of Herron Hastings, 23, on the east side, family and friends remembered him at a vigil.
Balloons were released in memory of Hastings.

He was fatally shot once in the head outside Club Groove in the 3700 block of East Commerce Street early Sunday morning.
While police are investigating the shooting as gang related, his mother, Antonette Hastings, said she had no knowledge of him having any affiliation with gangs.
"It's not worth it, you know it's somebody's child, somebody's brother, cousin, nephew, you know I don't understand how someone can just kill somebody," said Antonette.
Police have yet to make any arrests in this case. If you have any information, you're asked to call police.
