Contractor hits water main line on city's North Side

Water seen shooting 30 feet into air

SAN ANTONIO – Contractors hit a San Antonio Water System water line Monday afternoon.

Crews hit the 30-inch water line just before 2 p.m. on the Olmos Park Golf Course.

A SAWS spokeswoman said customers were not being affected, but the Olmos Park city manager said some residents might experience low water pressure.

Water from the KSAT-12 airport tower camera showed water shooting approximately 30 feet into the air.

KSAT 12 News reporter Garrett Brnger tweeted the picture below of the rear of the drilling truck falling into the creek.
