One of fiesta's most popular events ended with pouring rain on Saturday.

The Fiesta Flambeau Night Parade got off to a great start with hundreds of people lining the streets of downtown.

It's the 65th anniversary of the parade and to mark the anniversary, organizers chose the theme, "Celebrating San Antonio." Early Saturday, crowds lined the streets of Broadway, trying to get a good spot.

There were a lot of cheers for the University of Texas Longhorn Band and all the festive floats, including Rey Feo's float, which was one of the floats kicked off the Battle of Flowers Parade route on Friday for throwing beads, medals and other souvenirs from the float to the people lining the Broadway parade route.

All those floats were back on Saturday, joining dozens of marching bands.

"The bands, you gotta love them," said Lydia Lebron, a parade spectator.

However, just after 10 p.m. Saturday night, the parade ended abruptly on Broadway after a sudden downpour.
