Fire crews were busy Friday night as they fought 2 two-alarm fires.
The first fire happened just before 10 p.m. Friday at an appliance store at Rigsby and W.W. White.
According to fire officials, the first crew to arrive at the scene noticed a dumpster fire towards the back of the building.
They started to put that fire out and when more units arrived they noticed the fire had spread to the interior of the building, and into the neighboring Rent-A-Center.
A second alarm was called out a few minutes later due to the heat and size of the building.
Most of the damage was contained to the Rent-A-Center.
Fire investigators are still trying to figure out what caused the fire.
"In this heat, anything is possible," said SAFD Assistant Chief, Mike Walsh. "There is a thing called spontaneous combustion."
The second fire happened around 12:30 a.m. Saturday at a pallet warehouse just east of downtown near Hoefgen and Cherry.
According to fire officials, when crews arrived at the scene, they quickly put out two small fires around the warehouse.
Shortly after that, another fire broke out and more crews were called.
Firefighters had some problems fighting the fire, but they were able to put it out.
Arson investigators are also looking into this fire.
