Officials at the scene said the fire appears to have started in a bedroom closed in the back section of a duplex.

Firefighters said there was more smoke than flames making it hard to see inside the building.

Every one inside the home made it outside safely by the time firefighters had arrived, officials said.

Arson investigators are now working to determine the cause of the fire.
