COMAL COUNTY, Texas – The flood flow from Canyon Lake is being reduced just in time for Memorial Day.
According to the Comal County Sheriff's Office, the overnight flow will be reduced to 1,100 CFS by 10 p.m. Thursday, and it will further be reduced to 400 CFS by 4 a.m. Friday. It should be seen in New Braunfels by noon Friday.

The Sheriff's Office said the 400 CFS flow will remain through the holiday weekend, but will begin to increase at 7 p.m. Monday back up to 1,100.
However, because additional rainfall could change the forecast, the inflows into Canyon Lake will be assessed and some possible adjustments to flood releases will be made.
The area remains under a flash flood watch until 6 a.m. Friday.
