Former Edgewood ISD administrator headed to court Thursday

Severo Campos had been charged with indecency with a child by contact

SAN ANTONIO – A former vice principal of Wrenn Middle School is headed to court Thursday morning.

Severo Campos was arrested back in 2015, charged with indecency with a child by contact.

Edgewood police had been investigating allegations that Campos had a year-long relationship with a former student.

Investigators said that the relationship started when the victim was a student at the middle school and continued when she advanced to Kennedy High School.

Campos was reportedly caught with the 14-year-old girl inside his truck.

Campos also had been previously charged with sexual assault of a child and an inappropriate relationship between educator and a student.

All of the charges stem from the encounters with the one victim.
