Four men robbed during attempted weapons purchase, police say

Three men arrested; 18-year-old man says he was assaulted

SAN ANTONIO – Four men were robbed late Sunday night during an attempted weapons purchase, police said.

Police said a group of men invited the potential customers around 11:30 p.m. to a home in the 8300 block of Swift Eagle Drive.

When the potential customers arrived at the home, the men used the weapons to rob them of money, police said.

The men opened fire and took off, police said.

One of the potential customers, an 18-year-old man, told police that the men beat him with a bat, sprayed him with pepper spray and shocked him with a Taser.

The man's injuries were not considered serious, police said. He was questioned by detectives.

Police located the suspects at Old Pearsall Road near Military Drive, where the men ran into the woods.

Three of the men were apprehended and arrested. One remains at large.

Numerous weapons were recovered, police said.
