Gas prices are dropping and area drivers aren’t missing their chance to fuel up.

Gas prices have been seen under $3 in areas like New Braunfels and some parts of San Antonio.

"In the summer I was paying over $4 in Indiana. Now it’s under $3, so $1 a gallon makes a big difference,” said Mike Ball, a Buc-ee’s customer.

Ball spent the day in Gruene but says he had to stop to fuel up for $2.98 cents.

Eduardo Moreno and his family were traveling from Dallas back home to Laredo.

Moreno said his family got to use the extra money they saved to have some fun.

"We were able to save the money and go racing in Dallas,” said Moreno.

According to, the lowest gas prices as of Sunday evening were found on the Northeast Side, Schertz and Selma areas.
