SAN ANTONIO -

Tim Duncan has responded to rumors he is thinking about retiring at the end of this season.

The rumor was spread publicly by former NBA coach and current analyst George Karl earlier this week during an appearance on SportsCenter. Karl said he was hearing "whispers" this could be Duncan's final NBA season.

The San Antonio Express-News spoke to Duncan after the Spurs win over the Clippers Tuesday night.

Duncan debunked the rumors and said he did not know what he was going to do so how would Karl know. The Express-News article added Duncan has given no thought to his plans for the future.

Duncan still has a year remaining on his two-year contract extension that is scheduled to pay him $20 million.

Duncan is 37-years-old, but continues to perform well and has been one of the few Spurs who has stayed healthy this season.
