SAN ANTONIO -

Three Good Samaritans are credited with saving a driver from a car fire early Monday morning.

San Antonio police said a driver lost control of his car on Highway 90 East at Cupples Road and slammed into a guardrail.

The car caught fire as three people stopped to help. Police said they broke the vehicle's windows and pulled the driver out.

The driver was transported to San Antonio Military Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Traffic was delayed while officials cleared the scene.
