SAN ANTONIO - San Antonio Stars guard and now Spurs assistant coach Becky Hammon goes one-on-one with Robin Roberts Monday morning on ABC's "Good Morning America."
Hammon played her final regular season home game with the Stars on Friday. Hammon scored seven points and added 10 assists to lead the Stars into the WNBA Playoffs.
The Stars defeated the Minnesota Lynx for the first time in nine tries in front of nearly 13,000 fans at the AT&T Center.
Hammond has gained national attention after the Spurs hired her to the be the first full-time, salaried female coach in NBA history.
Over the weekend, Roberts interviewed Hammon about the move to the NBA and what it was like to get a job offer from Coach Gregg Popovich.
"You're sitting there and you get this phone call from Coach Pop and you're like, seriously? Seriously? He said we have a spot for you and I can even pay you. I was like alright, cool, let's do it," said Hammon.
Hammon's full interview with Roberts will air Monday morning, Aug 18., on "Good Morning America."
The Stars open the WNBA Playoffs Thursday night at Minnesota. Game 2 is Saturday night at 6 p.m. at the AT&T Center. Game 3 will be played Monday night in Minnesota if necessary.
