It will be a soggy Sunday and Monday for most people in South Texas.

Since Sunday morning, a large band of moderate to heavy rain has been slowly moving west along Highway 90 from the Texas/Mexico border toward San Antonio.

“Widespread showers and thunderstorms will drift across the Hill Country and all of South Texas today (Sunday) and tonight,” Your Weather Authority meteorologist Kaiti Blake said. “While an isolated severe thunderstorm with 1 inch hail and strong winds is possible, heavy rain will be the biggest concern through early Monday morning. Rainfall totals will vary from half an inch up to 2 inches through midday Monday, with locally higher totals possible.

Counties west of San Antonio that saw heavy rain on Saturday will be more prone to flash flooding Sunday and Sunday night as more rain arrives.

Be cautious on the roads and never drive into an area of high water!

REMEMBER: Turn around, don't drown!

The National Weather Service said some areas could pick up 4 inches of rain.

By rush hour on Monday, the bulk of the heavy rain will be east of Bexar County and moving away. However, some scattered showers and heavy downpours will be possible.
