A man is in the hospital after being hit while crossing an access road.

It happened around 10 p.m. Friday in the 2200 block of Camp Bullis Road and I-10.

According to police, a homeless man was crossing the access road when he was hit by a car.

The car kept driving, but stopped about a mile down the road.

The victim was taken to University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say the driver is not being charged since it was an unavoidable accident.
