Kerrville police are investigating a shooting that sent a man to a San Antonio hospital.
Police responded to a 911 call involving a weapon discharge and an injured person around 2 p.m. on Thursday.
Officers arrived at the scene, in the 900 block of Paschal Avenue, where they found the victim. The 27-year-old man had been shot multiple times by small-caliber rifle.
Paramedics arrived to treat the man, who was later transported by medical helicopter to a San Antonio hospital.
According to police, the investigation revealed that the shooting started from a disturbance between the suspect and the victim.
The suspect, 25-year-old Leroy Carrizales, was found at the scene, where he was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, police said. He was then taken to the Kerr County jail.
The Kerrville Police Department Criminal Investigation Unit is investigating the shooting.
