SAN ANTONIO -

Two young brothers who were allegedly kidnapped by their mother and taken to Costa Rica returned to the United States, and have been reunited with their father.

3-year-old Sage Walker and 6-year-old Darwin Walker arrived in Atlanta and were reunited with their biological father Thomas Walker.

An arrest warrant was issued for the boy's mother Brandy Romano, 35.

She and Raymond Romano, 42, were arrested Friday in Houston by members of the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force.

An investigation by the San Antonio Police Department alleged that the pair had committed two counts of child kidnapping.

On May 28, 2013, Brandy Romano was ordered by a judge to relinquish full custody of her two sons to Thomas Walker.

Instead of following the court order, Brandy and Raymond Romano allegedly kidnapped the two boys.

BCSO contacted the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force for help locating Brandy and Raymond Romano.

Just days later, task force officers determined through investigations that Brandy and Raymond had fled to the Republic of Costa Rica.

Costa Rican authorities located and detained Brandy and Raymond, and both were determined to have no legal status to remain in the country.

They were then expelled from Costa Rica and turned over to United States Marshals Service.

Brandy and Raymond Romano were formally arrested by members of the GCVOTF and taken to the Harris County Sheriff's Office Adult Detention Center waiting to be extradited to Bexar County.
