Former KSAT News Director Jim Boyle would not appreciate the fact that his story is being told on the internet. But he would be proud of the way his wife, Chula Boyle, and his two daughters, Erin and Brett, have handled his sudden death in 2014 and its aftermath. || Donald Trump is facing one of the most crucial days of his campaign Wednesday as he prepares to deliver a highly anticipated speech that will seek to clarify his controversial immigration policy, just hours after he traveled to Mexico to visit that country's president. || San Antonio police on Wednesday arrested a 24-year-old man they called a "one-man crime spree" in connection with a string of shootings and robberies, including the slaying of a 61-year-old convenience store owner.

TUESDAY

The San Antonio Metropolitan Health District on Tuesday released a statement regarding vaccines and their association with autism. Metro Health said thimerosal is not a toxin in vaccines, but that it is a preservative that prevents contaminating. The health agency said the preservative has been used in vaccines for decades. || The search for a stolen truck from a Boerne dealership lead sheriff’s deputies into Mexico. U.S. law enforcement agencies, who along with the Mexican military, helped locate nearly a dozen stolen vehicles from the San Antonio area. || The body of a man who had been stabbed several times was discovered Tuesday morning near some railroad tracks on the city's Southwest Side. San Antonio Police Chief William McManus said a passerby found the body around 9 a.m. in a brushy area near Quintana Road and Southwest Loop 410.

MONDAY

The San Antonio Zoo has welcomed a third elephant to its growing herd. The new Asian elephant's name is Karen. She is 47 years old and comes to the zoo as a result of a partnership with Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey. || Longtime University of Incarnate Word President Dr. Lou Agnese was removed from his position Monday. According to a letter sent last week to KSAT 12 News from a student, Agnese allegedly made several racial remarks during a campus luncheon Monday. During this 31 years leading UIW, the school grew from fewer than 1,300 students. It now boasts more than 11,000 students. || Bexar County District Attorney Nico LaHood said Monday he’s ready for the backlash to his public comments that vaccines cause autism. The theory has been debunked in the medical world, but many parents looking for answers, remain skeptical. LaHood said he and his wife noticed a change in their son after he received his 18-month vaccination.

Loss of an icon

News of Mexican singer Juan Gabriel’s death spread quickly Sunday. Many fans turned to KSAT’s Facebook’s page to share the sadness and shock. The icon sold more than 100 million albums over the course of his career.

“Pokemon Go” homicide arrests

Two adults and a juvenile are in custody, after a man and woman found a man's body at the St. Joseph Cemetery last week in New Braunfels. After an investigation, officials arrested Luis Alberto DeLeon, 36, and Sunee Marie Schriewer, 29, in connection with Lowe's death. Deputies said a juvenile was also taken into custody as a result of the investigation.

Bad boys, bad boys what you gonna do when BCSO gets you?

Go to jail! That is where they went. Two men were arrested Sunday after a traffic stop led Bexar County sheriff deputies to find more than 100 pounds of marijuana in the trunk of the men’s car.

Sit down

Drama is following Colin Kaepernick on and off the gridiron. The 49ers QB opted to sit during the national anthem, saying he would not honor a song nor "show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color." The player said he was fully aware of the controversy he was courting with his decision.
