SAN ANTONIO -

San Antonio police are on the hunt  for the man who tried  to rob the Saltgrass Steakhouse  Restaurant at Highway 281 near Donella late Sunday night as the restaurant was closing.

Police say the man seriously wounded one employee  and she is recovering. 

Investigators say two employees were closing Sunday night when they were ambushed by a man near the front door.

They say the man displayed a  silver handgun  and demanded they go back into the restaurant for the money.

The alarm began sounding when they entered and when one employee  could not get it turned off, the man fired a shot, striking the other employee. 

The employee ran to the exit and the man fired another round, grazing the other employee.

Police say the  robber fled on foot and is described a black male wearing a gray hoodie and dark pants.

One employee was transported to University Hospital and the other employee grazed by a bullet did not need medical attention.

Police say this type of violence will not be tolerated at any Landry's establishment. Landry's is offering a $50,000 reward. Please contact the San Antonio Crime Stoppers with any details regarding this incident at 210-224.7867.
