SAN ANTONIO – A new home in Northeast Bexar County was destroyed by fire late Monday night that firefighters suspect was caused by a lightning strike.
Two children were treated for smoke inhalation at the scene, Bexar County spokeswoman Laura Jesse said.

Damage to the home in the 22100 block of Gypsy View was estimated at $420,000, Jesse said.
The fire broke out around 10 p.m., Jesse said.
