Local Salvation Army staff will be positioned at various downtown intersections Wednesday night to provide cold weather relief.
The Salvation Army San Antonio Area Command and their canteen or mobile feeding unit, will provide relief to displaced individuals. They will provide warm beverages and transportation to its shelter location.
The canteen and transportation is available from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday in the area of Frio City Road and Houston Street intersection, west of downtown.
The Salvation Army has opened the lobbies of the Emergency Family Shelter and the Dave Coy Center for the public to use as warming stations and will remain open 24 hours.
The Goslinowski Social Services lobby will also be used as a warming station and is available to the public from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Anyone wanting to get out of the cold is welcome to come in to any of these locations.

- Goslinowski Social Services at 910 N. Flores
For those who want to help, The Salvation Army is accepting donations of canned food, non-perishable items, and bottled water. They are not accepting clothing or household items at this time. All donations will be accepted at 521 W. Elmira.
