SAN ANTONIO – It didn’t take long for the social media team at Whataburger to take a shot at the Oscars’ Best Picture gaffe.

Whataburger tweeted a meme on Monday that showed the controversial Oscars Best Picture card. It read: “Whataburger Best Burger In The World 2017.”

The tweet post said: “Really glad to see Whataburger finally get the recognition it deserves.”

A number of Whataburger’s tweets have gone viral in the past, including a few in which the San Antonio-based company trolled Kanye West and the Notre Dame football team after they lost to Texas last season.

The Oscars tweet had already been retweeted more than 1,400 times and liked more than 2,800 times less than an hour after it was posted.
