Seven people were injured in a two-vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon on Interstate 10 in northwest Bexar County.
Bexar County Sheriff's Office spokesman Paul Berry said a Ford Explorer was headed eastbound on Interstate 10 when the driver got distracted and crossed the median into the westbound lanes and collided with a Suzuki.
The driver of the Explorer, a 23-year-old woman, was taken to University Hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the Suzuki, a 35-year-old woman, and five passengers were taken to University Hospital. All of them except a 12-year-old boy, had non-life threatening injuries. The boy was in serious condition.
I-10 West was expected to be closed until about 5 p.m., Berry said.
