Man accused of racking up more than $1,500 on stolen credit cards

Police say Curtis Russel McCain took 2 credit cards from woman's purse

SAN ANTONIO – A man is accused of racking up more than $1,500 on stolen credit cards.

Police said 32-year-old Curtis Russel McCain went into an apartment near Loop 1604 and U.S. 281 last month and took two credit cards from a woman’s purse.

Investigators then tracked a spending spree that lasted less than an hour.

Police said surveillance video caught McCain making a purchase at Walmart.

Authorities said the suspect use the other credit card to buy a big-ticket item at Zales before the card was swiped again at Best Buy.

McCain is charged with burglary habitation and two counts of debit and credit card abuse.
