SAN ANTONIO -

A 20-year-old man is accused of crashing a pool party at a Northwest Side apartment complex, then sexually assaulting a woman who he met there.

Alexander Franklin was charged with sexual assault.

The 20-year-old woman reported the alleged attack to San Antonio police last Saturday.

An arrest warrant affidavit stated that she told police she and her boyfriend met Franklin on July 13, after he showed up uninvited at a pool party at their apartment complex on Vance Jackson Road.

The woman said Franklin invited her and her boyfriend to his apartment after the party, but she soon became tired and they went home.

At some time later, the alleged victim and her boyfriend said Franklin showed up at their door.

The boyfriend said Franklin told him he needed to retrieve his cell phone which he supposedly had left behind at Franklin’s home during the visit, the affidavit stated.

After the boyfriend left his own apartment, Franklin woke up the woman, telling her that her boyfriend was in trouble and had been arrested, the affidavit stated.

The woman said, in a panic, she left her home with Franklin, believing he was taking her to get help for her boyfriend, the affidavit stated.

Instead, she said, Franklin took her to the laundry room of an apartment complex and raped her, the affidavit stated. Franklin was arrested Sunday.
