SAN ANTONIO – Thirty-year-old Adam Mireles was arrested and charged with arson after setting fire to Iglesia Corona de Vida this week, an arrest affidavit said.
The affidavit said surveillance cameras showed Mireles starting the fire.

Mireles is deaf. Through a deaf link operator, he told an arson investigator that he used gasoline to intentionally set fire to the church Thursday.
Witnesses who provided the surveillance video also identified Mireles to investigators. The church pastor said the community has stepped up to help and the church will have services Sunday at 1 p.m.
