SAN ANTONIO -

Converse resident Ervin Matias, 20, is facing charges after a woman told San Antonio police he secretly recorded her while she was removing her clothes and showering in a locker room.

The name of the business where this happened and its location have been redacted from the police report.

However, the report stated that the woman reported the crime to police Sunday night, saying she heard what sounded like a camera on an iPod or iPhone starting up while she was in the locker room.

After she had undressed and entered the shower, she said she saw a hand holding an iPod, reaching under the shower door, the report stated.

It stated that she quickly got out of the shower, wrapped herself in a towel and confronted Matias, who then began to apologize.

The woman told police she found five videos of herself, both undressing and in the nude, on the iPod, and deleted them, the report stated.

She said she told another man at the establishment what had happened and he also confronted Matias.

Police said surveillance video from the business corroborated the woman’s story, the report stated.

Matias was arrested Sunday on a charge of improper photography.

The report indicates that he worked at the establishment, and was supposed to be changing out towels in the locker room.
