Man arrested for Dec. robbery of Family Dollar store

Marshall Polchlopek is charged with aggravated robbery

SAN ANTONIO – A local man has been arrested, accused of holding a knife to a cashier and stealing cash from the register.

According to an arrest warrant affidavit, back on Dec. 18 Marshall Polchlopek entered the Family Dollar located in the 100 block of Donaldson Avenue and then robbed it.

A woman who worked at the register said she saw Polchlopek walking around the store for roughly 20 minutes.That's when, the affidavit said, Polchlopek grabbed several items and took them to the register. Polchlopek then allegedly showed the employee a knife before demanding the cash.

Polchlopek took the money and ran from the store, the affidavit said.

The affidavit said police were able to apprehend Polchlopek after reviewing surveillance video and matching his fingerprints to some found in the store.

Polchlopek is charged with aggravated robbery.
