SAN ANTONIO -

San Antonio police on Thursday arrested a man wanted in connection to an armed robbery at a Wienerschnitzel in December.

Curtis Joseph Wisniewski was taken into custody in the 14000 block of North Flores.

According to investigators, the 28-year-old used a gun to rob a clerk at the fast-food restaurant in the 600 block of San Pedro on Dec. 3.

In the weeks following the robbery, detectives with the SAPD Robbery Task Force Unit noticed a pattern of similar aggravated robberies around San Antonio.

Surveillance images were broadcast to the public and a flood of anonymous tips came into the department.

Investigators were also able to track down the vehicle used in the robbery.

“Robbery detectives, in conjunction with our intelligence unit, were able to link this suspect to the robbery,” said SAPD spokesman Officer Roger Zuniga. “The suspect in this case is possibly involved in nine other robberies within a short time period."

Investigators believe Wisniewski is responsible for three separate armed robberies at local Game Stop stores from Dec. 13 through Dec. 30.

Police said instead of a gun, he used a knife.

Detectives in Leon Valley believe Wisniewski may be the suspect they are looking for in a crime there.
