SAN ANTONIO -

An Arkansas native has been charged in connection with a human trafficking operation in San Antonio.

An arrest warrant affidavit names three potential victims, including a 17-year-old girl.

However, the charge against Freddie Watts, 25, has to do with only one of alleged victims, a 22-year-old woman.

The affidavit stated that the operation was discovered in July during a nationwide crackdown on prostitution called "Operation: Cross Country VII."

Investigators found two of the alleged victims working as prostitutes at a motel along Interstate 10 in the Medical Center area.

They later identified a third woman, the 22-year-old named in the affidavit, as another victim.

The affidavit stated that the women told investigators Watts would drive them to various locations, where they would have sex with men for money.

They said Watts also acted as a bodyguard for them, the affidavit stated.

The women also told investigators that Watts' girlfriend placed online ads that attracted their customers and then arranged the meetings with them, the affidavit stated.

It's not known if the girlfriend was also arrested.
