SAN ANTONIO -

Adam Kramer, 28, a suspect in a robbery in which a sword was used to threaten a waitress at a southeast Bexar County restaurant, now faces an additional charge.

An arrest warrant affidavit stated that Kramer is also a suspect in an attempted robbery at a Converse gas station.

Both incidents happened on Dec. 2.

In the latest case, a clerk at BIGS gas station in the 8700 block of Miramar Boulevard told Converse police that Kramer walked into the business and demanded $50 worth of gas for free.

The clerk said when she told him he would have to pay, he told her she was going to die, the affidavit stated.

She said Kramer then touched the handle of a weapon hanging on his waist and began climbing over the counter, the affidavit stated.

However, the woman said, Kramer suddenly handed her a $20 bill for gas and walked out of the business, the affidavit stated.

Kramer, who was already in custody from his arrest last week, was formally charged with attempted robbery Monday.

In the earlier case, a waitress at a Mexican restaurant in the 500 block of S. Loop 1604 E. said Kramer threatened her with a sword after she refused to give him free tacos.
