San Antonio police say they have a man in custody who is connected to several crimes on the Northwest Side ranging from break-ins to sexual assault.
The arrest comes two days after SAPD appealed to the public for help.
According to police investigators, 28-year-old Juan Rodriguez was arrested Tuesday afternoon in Victoria, Texas.
He is expected to be brought back to San Antonio some time Wednesday night.
As of Wednesday evening, he is facing charges of credit card abuse and robbery, but police investigators say he could be linked to several other crimes dating back to July.
All of those crimes are believed to have occurred on the Northwest Side in the area of Gardendale, Wurzbach and Datapoint Drive.
There have been six break-ins and robberies and two sexual assaults in that area that he could be linked to.
But San Antonio police investigators said it was surveillance photos that helped them nab Rodriguez.
A woman was also seen in the photos with Rodriguez and police say she has not been arrested, but investigators are questioning her.
Many of the break-ins and robberies that police say Rodriguez could be connected to happened in the overnight hours while residents were home.
San Antonio police Chief William McManus says now people living in that area can breathe a sigh of relief and that more charges against Rodriguez could come soon.
