AUSTIN – An Adkins man has been arrested on six counts of possession of child pornography, the Office of the Texas Attorney General said.
The Attorney General's child exploitation unit received a request for help from the Sealy Police Department about a case of sexual assault of a 10-year-old girl, and potential possession and distribution of child pornography, officials said.

Investigators executed a search warrant Thursday at 22-year-old Jarrett Palitza's home. Officials said child pornography was discovered, including an image of the previously identified 10-year-old girl, stored on Palitza's smartphone.
"One more dangerous individual is off the streets and behind bars thanks to the efforts of the Child Exploitation Unit and the Sealy Police Department," Attorney General Ken Paxton said. "My office will remain steadfast in protecting our children and our communities from the heinous acts of these child predators and continue seeking justice against them."
