SAN ANTONIO -

A man told San Antonio police he was attacked and stabbed while walking past a West Side elementary school.

According to officers at the scene, the victim was on his way to a relative's home before 11 p.m. Monday when he was jumped by a group of four men.

The victim said they used what appeared to be brass knuckles with a blade on the end to stab him several times.

Officers found him in the 7500 block of Turquoise Way. The man was rushed to University Hospital for treatment.

Police, meanwhile, searched the area by helicopter but did not find the attackers.

Officers at the scene said robbery did not appear to be the motive, but they declined to say what they believe led to the stabbing.
