SAN ANTONIO – A man in a stolen vehicle got into a scuffle with several officers Saturday, San Antonio police said.
Police said an officer was on patrol when he spotted a reportedly stolen red truck sitting in a parking lot at the Super 8 Motel on De Zavala off I-10. A few minutes later, a man walked out and started getting in the truck. When officers approached the man, he started fighting and scratching them.

Authorities said the man took off running and jumped a fence but dropped his backpack, leaving behind his ID and a handgun.
K-9 officers and a chopper were called in to search for the man. About 15 minutes later, he was found hiding in a dealership parking lot.
Officers said they used a stun gun on the man and took him into custody. Four officers were scratched but not seriously injured.
Police said the man is expected to face charges.
