SAN ANTONIO -

A man who San Antonio police believe was struck and killed by a vehicle Saturday night has been identified by the Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office.

The body of 22-year-old Scorpio Barber was found Sunday around 10 a.m. in the backyard of a home in the 3800 block of Deerfield Drive.

Police immediately determined Barber's death was not due to natural causes and said he suffered injuries that indicated he had been struck by a vehicle.

Investigators later said Barber had been struck by a vehicle and the impact caused his body to go over an 8-foot retaining wall located between the backyard and the Loop 410 access road.

Police said the arrest of an alleged drunken driver near the home was possibly connected to Barber's death.
