A man was found severely beaten near some railroad tracks on the South Side early Monday morning.
San Antonio police said a Union Pacific worker found the man by a signal box around 2:30 a.m. on the tracks near the 100 block of Roosevelt Avenue.
The victim, who is believed to be in his mid-60s, was taken to University Hospital in serious condition.
San Antonio police believe he was beaten by two other men and left near the tracks. It was unknown why the man was attacked.
