Man gets 15 years in federal prison for child pornography

3,800 images of child pornography found on Mark Grimes' computer, feds say

SAN ANTONIO – A 37-year-old man who federal officials said had 3,800 images of child pornography on his computer was sentenced Friday to 185 months in federal prison for distribution of child pornography.

Mark Grimes must also pay $26,500 restitution to the victims and will be on supervised release for 10 years after completing his prison term, federal officials said.

Grimes pleaded guilty in June 2016 to one count of distribution of child pornography.

The defendant admitted that in December 2013, he used his computer to distribute child pornography to others using a peer-to-peer file-sharing program, federal officials said.

FBI agents executed a search warrant at Grimes' home in August 2014, and found the computer containing the images.
