Man critically wounded in shooting at West Side sports bar

Shooting reported at E&G Sports Bar in 2400 block of North Zarzamora Street

SAN ANTONIO – A man was shot four times early Friday at a sports bar on the city's West Side, police said.

The victim was taken to University Hospital in critical condition, police said.

Police said the man was shot after he got into an altercation with someone in E&G Sports Bar in the 2400 block of North Zarzamora Street. The victim was shot multiple times in the torso.

When officers arrived at the bar around 3 a.m., it was closed and locked with a padlock, police officials said.

A witness told officers that the gunman took off in a dark blue Mitsubishi sedan, police officials said. 

No arrests have been made.
