SAN ANTONIO – A man was hit and killed by a train Friday night on the city’s South Side.
The accident occurred near South Presa and Pyron Avenue just before 7:30 p.m.

San Antonio police said the man was sitting on the tracks when he was hit.
The conductor tried to slow the train and get the man’s attention.
Police have not released the identity of the man but said he was in his mid-to-late 40s.
